QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing
  • Registered Nurse in good standing(or eligible to become registered) with College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRNS)
  • Experience working in the field of addictions and/or mental health.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the health and social issues facing First Nations people.
  • Good understanding harm reduction principles and practices
  • Must be able to work as an effective team member and to work independently.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal
  • Understand trauma and violence informed services.
  • Willingness to travel and possession of a valid Class 5 driver’s license, work flexible hours, possibility of some evenings and some weekends.
  • Previous working experience with First Nations people and demonstrate an understanding of the health and social issues encountered by First Nation people and a willingness to learn about and accept First Nations cultures. Knowledge of Plains Cree Language is a definite asset.
  • Must provide a clear criminal record check with vulnerable sector.
  • Ability to work with Microsoft word and learn electronic medical system.
