QUALIFICATIONS

• Must have graduated, with a degree or diploma, from a recognized educational institution in a field related to medical office assistant support or have demonstrated knowledge and experience as they relate to commonly used medical equipment and clinical assistant procedures in a medical office.

• Demonstrated organizational abilities and interpersonal skills to meet the reception and clinical needs of two or more clinicians.

• Previous experience working in a multidisciplinary clinical health setting employing a variety of health professionals and paraprofessionals is an asset.

• Ability to work independently with demonstrated planning, organization skills and strong communication skills.

• Good computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, social media platforms and video development process.

• Valid driver’s license and access to vehicle during working hours

• Must demonstrate an understanding of health and social issues facing Indigenous people.

• Must be able to work as an effective team member and to work independently, in a self- motivated manner.

• The ability to speak Cree is an asset.

• Have a demonstrated ability to maintain confidential information.

• A successful criminal record check with vulnerable sector.

• Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal.
