Environmental Public Health Officer/Supervisor
Reporting directly to the Director of Community Based Health Services (CBHS), the EPHO/S works collaboratively with BRT6HC communities to identify and prevent environmental public health risks. The EPHO provides guidance, education, public health inspections and recommendations on matters relating to the day-to-day operation of BRT6HC Environmental Public Health Program.
Temporary Full Time Wellness Counsellor/Case Manager (One year term)
As part of a collaborative multidisciplinary team, utilizing an outreach approach, the goal of the Case Manager is to support clients in recovery as well as in their relationship with the RAAM multidisciplinary team. The Case manager provides addiction counselling and treatment support to the target population of those who are accessing services from the RAAM (Rapid Access Addictions Medicine) clinic; at risk for HIV /Hep C, have difficulty engaging or have disengaged from care, and may be active in opioid substance use (primarily through injection drug use); both on First Nation Communities and The Battlefords, primary site is the RAAM clinic and Wellness Department. The Wellness Counsellor/Case Manager will have sound knowledge of HIV, Hep C, and addiction recovery with methadone/suboxone as part of the recovery process, knowledge in concurrent disorders, clinical practices in addictions, case management, referrals, counselling, and assessment. Requires ability to interpret interpersonal and intercultural dynamics and implement therapeutic strategies to ensure appropriate treatment planning. Skills in program planning, collaboration, communication, and leadership are required. The incumbent will have developed counselling skills.
Permanent Full Time Addictions Counsellor
Reporting directly to the Addictions Counselling Supervisor, this position is responsible for support BRT6HC communities members looking for addictions recovery services. The Addictions Counsellor will be an integral member of the Wellness team providing counselling, referrals, home detox program, aftercare, education and prevention activities as required to communities. The Addictions Counsellor will work in partnership with the Wellness Staff and the community to provide effective addictions services to the community.
Permanent Casual Medical Office Assistant
Battlefords Family Health Centre is a primary care centre offering team based care with physicians, nurse practitioner, nurse, and allied health providers working together to achieve optimal levels of health. The Medical Office Assistant of Battlefords Family Health Centre will work under the supervision of the Clinic Coordinator of BFHC. The Medical Office Assistant is responsible for providing clinical support to the primary care team. This includes medical office assistant duties, including reception, booking appointments, recording vitals, and general office duties which provide clerical and administrative support to team members of BFHC, as assigned by the Clinic Coordinator.
Medical Transportation Driver- Poundmaker Cree Nation
The Medical Transportation Driver will work under the direction and supervision of the Office Manager and will have the responsibility of transporting clients to and from the Battlefords and Saskatoon for medical appointments.

HIV Outreach Worker
Battlefords Family Health Centre is an Indigenous owned and operated primary health clinic run in partnership with the Saskatchewan Health Authority. The HIV Outreach Worker working under the supervision of the HIV Project Coordinator, will actively engage target populations to present healthy sexuality and harm reduction information, as well as work collaboratively with partners and project staff. The Outreach Worker will work as part of a larger team to decrease sexually transmitted infections and blood borne pathogen rates, increase testing and treatment, and build capacity in target populations.
