Permanent Full Time Facilities Maintenance Worker

Qualifications: Education, Experience, Skills and Abilities:
Education and/or Experience:
- High school diploma or general education diploma (GED)
- Related Trade, Building, or Facility Maintenance Certificate is an asset, at least three years of related experience in building and mechanical equipment maintenance repair; or an acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience and knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety standards. Relevant training and experience required.
- Proficient in the use of hand and power tools i.e: drills, skill saw, zip grinder, grass whip
- Must possess a valid Class 5 Saskatchewan driver's license
- Must provide a successful criminal record check with vulnerable sector
- Must be able to work independently and with minimal supervision
Additional Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of the organization (strategic priories, values, goals, services, and programs), health care and First Nations culture
- Knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook), and technological platforms such as Microsoft Teams, with a general aptitude for expanding use of software applications to enhance efficiencies
- Abilities and behaviors associated with the core competencies with an emphasis upon planning and organizing, analytical and problem solving, interpersonal, collaboration and teamwork, and leadership and learning
- A general understanding of and knowledge of all general facilities trades such as plumbing, electrical, construction.
- Demonstrated ability to handle highly sensitive information and documents exercising confidentiality, discretion, good judgement, and exercising tact, courtesy, and diplomacy always.
- Demonstrate a high degree of flexibility and adaptability to balance the changing needs of the organization.
