Permanent Full Time Water Quality Technician
The WATER QUALITY TECHNICIAN will work under the general guidance of the Executive Director and under the direct supervision of the Community Health Director, with input from the Environmental Public Health Officer on the day to day operation of the program.
Qualifications and Skills
• Minimum Grade 12 Diploma
• Completed Water Quality Certification or the eligibility and willingness to achieve Water Quality
Certification.
• Previous work experience in First Nations communities.
• Demonstrates an understanding of the social determinates of health and how they may impact First Nations people.
• Must be able to work as an effective team member and to work independently, in a self- motivated manner.
• Liaises with Environmental Public Health Officer, Water Treatment Plant Operators, and members of the health team on a regular basis concerning water quality.
• Be familiar with database maintenance i.e., Hedgehog database.
• Must possess knowledge in reporting requirements.
• Possess a valid driver’s license.
• Provide a clear criminal record check with vulnerable sector.
