Permanent Full Time Human Resources Employee Relations Specialist

Responsibilities and Duties:
- Responsible for resolving grievances, labour relation disputes, and conducting workplace investigations.
- Administering the group insurance benefits, and group pension plans.
- Work closely with agencies, employees and supervisors related to any duty to accommodate or return to work arrangements.
- Conducts exit interviews with all terminating and retiring employees; prepares annual report summarizing high level key results.
- Work closely with the HR Administrative Assistant providing all payroll related information to complete the payroll notification
Qualifications:
- Possess a degree/diploma in Business Administration, Commerce, or other related discipline with a major in human resources or an equivalent combination of directly related experience and training; with a minimum of three (3) to five (5) years related work experience.
- A Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) designation or working towards a designation would be considered an asset.
- Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing human resource policies and programs including onboarding, recruitment, and benefit administration.
- Thorough knowledge of labour legislation and related employment standards.
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Office
- Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of traditional First Nation values, beliefs and healing approaches and a willingness to learn about and accept First Nations cultures
- Demonstrates agency values in the work they do daily with BRT6HC First Nations communities, clients, and co-workers
- High degree of confidentiality is essential
- A successful criminal record check and a valid driver's license
