QUALIFICATIONS

  • University degree in Environmental Health or an equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • Three years of experience in Environmental Health, with experience supervising.
  • A clear understanding of Environmental Health
  • Ability to lead, mentor and support employees, conduct performance reviews and apply appropriate disciplinary actions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and demonstrated organizational skills, with an emphasis on collaborative problem solving.
  • Abilities and behaviours associated with the core competencies with an emphasis upon planning and organizing, analytical and problem solving, interpersonal, collaboration and teamwork, and leadership and learning. Abilities and behaviours associated with the core competencies with an emphasis upon agency awareness and building community, planning, and organizing, client focused, interpersonal relationships, collaboration and teamwork, adaptability and leadership and learning as an EPHO.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle highly sensitive information and documents exercising confidentiality, discretion, good judgement, and exercising tact, courtesy, and diplomacy always.
  • Demonstrate a high degree of flexibility and adaptability to balance the changing needs of the organization.
  • Proficient with computers, i.e., Microsoft Office 2011, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook and SharePoint, Microsoft Teams.
  • Experience working with a First Nations organization and familiarity with First Nations culture, history and governance is considered an asset; and a willingness to learn about and accept First Nations culture.
  • Must possess a valid Saskatchewan driver's license.
  • A successful criminal record check with vulnerable sector.
