In keeping with the philosophy of Battlefords Family Health Centre, the Community Garden Outreach Workers will play an integral role in increasing the practice of healthy eating and active living behaviours of participants.

Responsibilities:

-To engage and support community members who are participating in the community garden project

-To maintain upkeep of the garden and equipment

-To plan, organize and deliver garden events

-To work with community members and the BFHC team to incorporate gardening and produce into healthy eating and physical activities

-To assist with weekly and end of project reports

The Successful Candidate must:

-Possess good communication skills, both written and verbal

-Be able to work flexible hours

-Be a self-starter and have ability to work independently and in a team setting

-Have a valid driver's license and access to an insured vehicle

-Have access to a cell phone

-Possess some knowledge of gardening and food preparation or willingness to learn

-Be a youth between the ages of 15-30 years

Full time position from May 2025 - August 2025
