Goal
Providing inclusive and trauma informed services.
Purpose
- For the Jordan’s Principle team members to approach each client with compassion, awareness, and reconciliation
- To support children aged 0 to 18 years old
- To assist families in ensuring all First Nation Children can access the products, services & supports they need, when they need them
Some services that can be covered:
- Mobility aids
- Wheelchair ramps
- Services for Elders
- Assessments and screening
- Mental health services
- Respite
- Dental
- Land-based actives
- Tutoring services
Role of the Coordinator
- Provide navigation support through the Jordan’s Principle application process
- To ensure that all the requirements for the Jordan’s Principle application process is followed
- They have in-depth knowledge of other services that can be accessed by the child, family &/or community to ensure supports
- To advocate for the child, family & community
